FOGO – From car park to pioneer area

• 3-hour workshop with BEC participation (2022) on behalf of Einfach Zürich (“Simply Zurich”)

• In cooperation with the innovation cooperative Die Cuisine (“The Kitchen”)

• Getting to know the FOGO residential and commercial estate and collecting ideas for the further development of the location

BEC Assignment

Since 2019, the FOGO area in Zurich Altstetten has been home to people with different backgrounds, lifestyles and networks. The pioneer area, temporarily operated by the Zurich-based organisations AOZ and Einfach Wohnen Foundation, brings together refugees, creative people, young adults in training and founders.

In 2022, Patrick Honauer (Die Cuisine) and Thomas Schmutz (BEC) were invited by the network project for the mediation of Zurich's cultural history "Einfach Zürich" to develop a public event with a participatory character in view of the visionary, urban interim use of FOGO.
