BEC Assignment

At the beginning of the project partnership established in 2017 between Tyros and Zurich, "soft mobility" and "refugee reception" were agreed upon as fields of concrete professional cooperation.

In the case of refugee reception – apart from its political urgency – the possibility of learning from each other is central. Learning within the framework of an expert exchange, which is not about a "copy-paste search", but where a relevant, different reality can be discussed on site and understood in depth.

BEC conceives and realises this international exchange of experts on behalf of the City of Zurich.

• Concept and programme development for two one-week "Expert Exchange on Refugee Reception" – based on research in Tyros and Zurich

• Collaborative organisation and implementation of two study tours: 2019 in Tyros with 15 participants from Zurich; 2022 in Zurich with 8 participants from Tyros

• Facilitation of expert discussions
